I had a busy day today, on Canal Street and shopping Chinatown. Then, we saw the Altar Boyz right after. Good show, recommend it. Anyway, I didn’t have time to blog it up or upload pictures. Sorry. I really meant to. I would do it tonight, but it almost midnight and I have to wake up early for The Today Show tomorrow. So, you should all watch and see if I get on TV, aiight?

I’m Disappointed with Myself
March 31, 2008I really wanted to write a sweet blog about New York and the great time I was having, but I don’t feel like writing anything. The city is amazing, of course. I love it. I don’t want to leave. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life here. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures to upload and post in my next blog. God, I need to stop being so lame.

Arrival
March 29, 2008Got to New York this afternoon. It’s cold.I can’t think of anything else to say, and I don’t feel like talking.

I’ve Just Realized
March 29, 2008that in my last blog, I talk about leaving for New York tomorrow. Technically, I’m leaving later today. Since it is 1:15 am. Which means it’s March 29th, the day I leave. GAHHH only 5 more hours!
Is it weird that I love planes and I can’t wait to get to the airport and enjoy the travel atmosphere? I’m a freakkk.

Current Predicament
March 29, 2008So, it seems I have an issue. Tomorrow I get on a plane and fly to New York for the week. Seems like there’s no problem there, right? Wrong. Tomorrow I do not want to spend my entire flight bored out of my mind trying to find something to do and asking for more airline peanuts. I would like to sleep, so the trip will go as quickly as possible and I can be wired to hang out with my cousin when I get there.
I have an issue with making myself sleepy.
The only way to do such a thing is to stay up so late that I cannot possibly keep my eyes open. However, I cannot easily stay up late. So, I am trying as hard as I can to find something to do to keep myself distracted so that I can stay up as late as possible. My goal is 2am. Since I have to wake up at 4:30 anyway. I think that will be a sufficent time to get to sleep.
I’m so excited to go to New York, by the way. It’s my favorite city in my favorite state. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life there.
Maybe that’s where Justine’s traveling to this week. Wouldn’t that be cool? Run into iJustine in that crazy apple store in NY. Definitely.

Today was an Apple Day
March 28, 2008We renamed John’s cat Steve Jobs.
We decided that our marching show next year needs to be Apple commercial songs.
We watched Apple commercials and parodies.
Seriously though, we renamed John’s cat Steve Jobs. Renamed it. It already had a name. We gave it a new better one.
Hell, who am I kidding? Everyday is an Apple Day in my life.

March 28, 2008Yeah, I forgot to blog yesterday. Sorry about that kids.
On to the subject today— So, today was a day of amazing creativity. I seldom have days where I actually have artistic talent and can draw, paint, write bubble letters, design shirts, think of AMAZING ideas.
Well, today was one of the days that all that happened. Little Jenna, Johnny and I left school at 3:30, went to Walmart, went to Michael’s, went to Target for Starbucks and then went to my house. Once there we spent the next 6 hours making FF1CAE t-shirts. They were cut, designed, painted. They are completely amazing to an unbelievable extent. I successfully drew an unbelievable twitter bird and completely decked out two shirts in twitter phrases. I don’t want to reveal too much, but I’ll give you a slight preview of what the shirts look like.
Seems I only have a picture of us in our new FF1CAE bandanas.
My mother saw us wearing them and asked “Are you like, a cult or something?” To which all three of us replied in unison, without delay, without thinking, “Yes.”
Tomorrow I’ll add more pictures of the actual shirts.
By the way everyone, I’m now a member of cccvlog! Find us on youtube! Username= cccvlog. or hit us up at cccvlog.com. However, the domain might not have all the videos up.
Another update. I leave for New York tomorrow? Completely exciting? I think yes.

I Do Like This Blog
March 26, 2008It is a fun thing to do.
I will write each day.
I really really like haikus. I do think that they are my favorite thing ever. Poetry is one of my favorite aspects of writing and haikus are a wonderous form of poetry. Just three lines. 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 more. It’s structured, but still free verse. You can express all your feelings in a very short amount of space.
That’s a very interesting thought. Expressing your feelings without saying much… I think I’ll try it. Due to the extensive nature of my other posts, I will reward my readers with this short one, in appreciate for haikus. I will also end with another haiku.
I thank each reader.
Especially frequent ones.
I hope you exist.

Has the Color Wars 2008 Truly Invaded My Life?
March 25, 2008Today at lunch I was just sitting at my table, innocent as can be, minding my own business when suddenly– THWACK— a blow to the back of my head. I didn’t know what to think. I immediately turned, assuming it was one of my friends joking around who hit me in the back of the head to get my attention. For you see, it wasn’t such an excruciatingly painful blow to the head that I am still feeling the throbbing wound, but a hard thwack easily obtained by the palm of a good friend’s hand taking a joke too far. I looked in all directions, but nobody was to be found.
I turned back around to see my good friend, and #FF1CAE teammate, Emma, was laughing hysterically and had bits of cake-like food in her hair. This confused me. I wondered if maybe this had a connection to the smack on my head, but I quickly denounced this theory. Then, I asked what had happened to Emma and was quickly pointed in the direction of the disheveled muffin sitting in the middle of the table.
It seemed to be a streudal muffin. For, it was not a chocolate muffin or a blueberry one. It was definitely a large, soft cafeteria vending machine muffin. The paper was intact to a degree, but its quick flight and hard landing led to somewhat of an explosion. Further examination showed that the muffin was quite frozen and quite hard. It sat in the middle of the table. A chunk was missing. This chunk seemed to coincide with the pieces currently residing in Emma’s blonde locks.
The pieces of the puzzle were soon put together. It seems that the muffin flew from somewhere unknown behind my own head, made violent contact with the left rear corner of my skull, and continued on to pummel Emma in the clavicle. After hitting Emma, it ricocheted to the center of the table where its final contact with the table resulted in an explosion of sorts. The muffin, now disheveled in the middle of our luncheon circle, provided a wealth of mystery.
Emma and I discussed the possibilities. There is only one common enemy we share, other than Mrs. Rao, our chemistry teacher, who was eating curry in her classroom at the time. That enemy lies within the Color Wars 2008.
The two of us are both members of the #FF1CAE team. The team currently dominating the war is the “Very Green Team”. As any true person does know, any power with mass control will always want to retain that control. Therefore, the Very Green Team is always on the lookout for threats, and they are always sure to make other teams aware that they mean business.
This leads to only one conclusion. The muffin attack was head by none other than the Very Green Team themselves. An unknown member came from nowhere, hurled a muffin at a table full of #FF1CAE membrs, hoping to hit one of us, and quickly hid away. This member succeeded….or did they?
Little does this Very Green Team member know, the #FF1CAE team is on to their plans. We know it was them and we are on the lookout for further attacks. Beware Very Green Team. #FF1CAE is here to stay and will begin to move beyond your standards and ultimately take control.

Happy Re-birthday, Jesus!
March 24, 2008Today is Easter Sunday. Happy Easter, everyone. For those of you who have not seen ijustine’s Web 2.0 eggs, I highly suggest you check them out.
So, today is apparently the day that Jesus Christ arose from the dead, yes? Well, everyone is saying “Happy Easter” and coloring eggs and giving candy to each other and waiting for the Easter Bunny. I’m wondering how in the world these things connect.
Jesus rose from the dead today, yes? Woot! I guess that’s some pretty important stuff, eh? So, important in fact that I had to attend a 2 and a half hour mass at a Catholic Church about it. Here’s my issue with that. Why is nobody ELSE wishing Jesus a Happy Re-birthday? Essentially, today is his birthday, again. Your birthday is the day you came into the world. Well, today is the day Jesus allegedly came into the world AGAIN. So, in my opinion, all who care to believe in him should bake a cake and wear party hats in celebration of the Re-birthday of Jesus Christ.
Where did this egg coloring tradition come from? Why do we continue it? Does it have significance at all? I truly have no idea. My first guess to solving this puzzle would be the connection of eggs and the rebirth of Christ. I guess eggs are the vehicle by which small chickens are born. This could have some connection to Jesus being born again, but this seems a stretch. If this is the case, then, why do we hard boil them and color them? That seems to be defeating the purpose. Once the egg is hard boiled in preparation to eat, it is no longer the home for a chicken waiting to be born; the chicken is no longer living.
I took the liberty of researching some origins of the traditions of Easter. Those who care are encouraged to read the incredibly interesting facts here —-> http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usma&c=holidays&id=1991
It turns out that the holiday’s traditions have little to no connection to the Christian celebration of Jesus Christ being reborn, and most of the traditions are rather pagan. Most Christians would probably be surprised at their true origins. Any deep Christian follower might even be ashamed that they participated under the assumption they were worshiping their lord and savior.
I read all of the article and found its points rather interesting and I truly do encourage everyone to read it.
On a lighter note, again, Happy Easter everyone! Hope that changed your view of this monotonous holiday!
